Beginning the Journey

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Romans 10:13-15

Praise the Lord church! Glad to be blogging tonight, Pastor got the computer up and now here I am in the midnight hour blogging for Jesus! Just wanted to update those who may not have heard yet, the drive down was great all the way. We didn't have any bad weather or any truck problems. We arrived in Hood River at about 6pm on Tuesday night and began looking for the house that we rented before we left QC. Much to our delight it was all that we could have imagined and more (except it has orange counter tops in the kitchen, icky!) When we first arrived it was already dark and so we dropped the car and drove into Hood River for some dinner. We decided to go to Taco Bell and there was a visible haze in the air, even inside the restaurant. We had talked about getting in touch with a brother here in HR about playing music for us (he's an awesome guitar player) but but we weren't sure so we dropped it. But within our first hours in HR the Lord directed our paths to cross with this brother. It was incredible! Talk about a Holy Ghost comfirmation. He told us he isn't even living in HR right now, which makes this seemingly chance encounter even that much more awesome. After the meeting the haze in the air seemed to disappear. Pastor and I were so excited, we just kept saying to each other "can you believe it, what are the chances?" We decided to go over to the school where we will be having church. It was about 10pm, but we pulled into the parking lot and began to pray for the soul harvest here in HR and rebuke the enemy on behalf of the people. As the opening scriptures say in Romans 10 "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent?" We are glad to be sent wherever God chooses. It seems a little surreal, but we are ready.

God bless you all, you are always on our minds and in our prayers,
Pastor and Sherri
